My name is Tanya Bryant, I am an Ofsted Registered Childminder residing in the Brunswick Park area of New Southgate, North London.

I have successfully completed an Introduction to Childminding Practice Course and a 12 Hour Paediatric First Aid Course.

I have an Enhanced CRB check, hold Public Liability Insurance, am a member of the NCMA (National Childminding Association) and a member of the Barnet Childminding Network. Being part of a network means that I have the extra responsibility of being inspected every six to eight weeks by a Childminding Support Co-Ordinator which is very reassuring for parents. The Childminding Network provide many opportunities for ongoing training, in fact it is a pre-requisite of joining the Network that members do agree to attend various workshops and to gain further qualifications in Childcare.

I have a full driving Licence and occasionally use it to transport mindees. The vehicle has appropriate child restraints, has current MOT and is fully insured for business use.

I live in a three bedroom mid-terraced house with my two sons, Andreas and James who are 22 and 19 respectively, both have had a Standard CRB check. Andreas works in Finance and James attends College out of Borough; when he is not too busy visiting friends, he comes home some weekends!

Prior to becoming a Registered Childminder, I worked for a Surveyor in the Telecoms Department as an Administration Manager, working directly with the Project Manager. The Telecoms Department sought sites for the purpose of placing Telecom Masts around the Country. My role was very demanding requiring mega organisation and good multi tasking skills – similar to those needed for childminding! I took redundancy in 2004; soon after, I sought a part-time position as a Keyworker for a young Autistic adult whilst undertaking appropriate Courses to become a childminder.

Mission Statement

My aim is to provide a warm, caring and stimulating environment, where every child in my care feels safe, secure and valued and is given lots of cuddles. Each child will be treated as an individual and will be given the opportunity to develop physically, socially and emotionally in a warm and friendly, home-like environment. I have a wide range of play and learning activities for indoor play and will continue to expand on items for use outdoors.
