Rates
and Conditions
I can offer a
childminding service broadly between the hours
of 8am and 6pm, Monday to Friday. Rates per
full day: £50.00 or weekly placement £225.00.
Overtime (deemed from 6pm onwards) and unsociable
hours weekday evening and weekends are charged
at time and a half (£7.50).
I can offer morning sessions 8am – 1pm
(lunch provided) and afternoon sessions 1pm
– 6pm (dinner provided). Rates per session:
£25.00
I can also offer occasional childcare at an
hourly rate of £6.50 and evening/weekend
childcare at an hourly rate of £7.50.
Occasional hours are paid for when used.
Term-time only
childcare: A retainer of half fees will be charged
for keeping your child’s place open.
A late fee of
£5.00 will be charged after the first
10 minutes that a child is collected late or
if the child is more than 10 minutes early.
Payment will be added to your next invoice.
This will be strictly enforced and habitual
tardiness may result in termination of services.
If for any reason
you are going to be late or early, please inform
me so that arrangements can be made for the
extra time. If I am informed prior to the change
in hours then a standard overtime rate will
be charged and not the late fee. Late drop-off
does not constitute late pick-up.
I like to make arrangements for a settling in
period (usually 4 weeks) and set aside time
to discuss particular needs and mutual expectations.
I also like to encourage parents to remain in
my setting for as long as they feel is necessary
when settling in their child.
I provide a formal, written Contract which I
review every six months. The Contracts I use
cover fees, hours, holidays, illness, overtime
and lateness. The Contract also deals with the
settling in arrangement; a Contract is agreed
for the first four weeks with a week’s
notice on either side; thereafter four weeks
notice or pay in lieu of notice. Payments are
made 4 weekly in advance. Overtime and extra
hours are to be paid for in the week they are
used.
The success of my business depends upon the
prompt payment of fees in order to take care
of the day-to-day expenses that are encountered.
Fees are computed with the following factors
in mind:-
• Food, health supplies. Craft/activity
supplies, toys, play equipment and books provided
for the children
• Outside activities
• Providers continuing education
• Additional time spent each day on record
keeping, parent-provider communication, clean
up from day care and shopping trips for food
and supplies.
Although the
fees may seem high, please keep in mind the
amount that is returned directly to your child
via food supplies, benefits from provider -
education etc. The providers’ wage is
the amount that remains after all of the above
expenses have been paid.
If a cheque is returned to me for non-sufficient
funds, you will be required to pay all fees
that I incur as a result of the returned cheque.
Childcare services will be immediately halted
until full payment of fees and bank charges
have been made, in CASH. In addition, I will
only accept cash payment from that point forward.
