Procedure for Lost or Not Collected Child

Everything will be done to ensure that your child never becomes lost.

At all times, I will make sure I know the location of your child. When out, I will make sure that your child is kept close to me, (if young they will be holding my hand at all times, wearing harnesses). As soon as possible, I will teach your child my address.

I plan to issue all Children with a wrist band or tag on outings with my mobile number on which I will have on me at all times. Children will be taught what to do should they ever get lost.

If after all this your child still becomes lost either in the park, shops or on an outing, the following procedure will be followed:

I will first search the immediate area. I will then phone the police to inform them of the situation. You will then be phoned/contacted. I will stay in the area in which your child has been lost unless told otherwise by the police.

Should your child not be collected on time (and you haven’t phoned to say you’re going to be late) the following procedure will be followed:

I will first try and contact you by telephoning either your work, home or mobile. I will then phone up the emergency contact numbers that you have given me. In the event that no one can pick up your child, Social Services will be contacted.

It is always best to inform me if you are going to be late.
