Sickness
If your child is obviously unwell,
with a temperature, vomiting and / or diarrhea
or a sore throat, please contact me and do not
bring them into the childcare setting. The best
place for a child who is unwell is at home.
Please contact your doctor and follow the advice
given.
This Policy is to safeguard my health
and that of the other children in my care.
Illness in the Childcare
Setting
If your child becomes ill you will
be contacted immediately. I will only administer
Paracetamol with prior written Parental consent.
I cannot care for sick or unwell children as
the terms and my Registration do not allow me
to do so. Also this Policy protects me, my own
children and the other children in my care.
Parents should make themselves available
in case a situation occurs, in the event that
this is not possible, I require written consent
to contact another named adult that can collect
the child.
I cannot authorise any medical treatment.
I will act responsibly and will not
exclude any child without due consideration
and as I have already detailed, I expect to
be contacted if a child is unwell so that I
can take a decision and offer advice.
